Create this lovely piece yourself By Sharon Hudson

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for stopping by, I thought I'd do a step by step photo tutorial showing how I created one of my samples for Pearlywinks show on Hochanda.

You dont have to use the exact colours & embossing powders as I do , I just prefer these with this card.

You will need:

- Pearlywinks ink sprays

2 Pearlywinks Ink sprays or 3 , entirely up to you, I used hot pink, vintage teal & pumpkin orange

- Pearlywinks cardstock

Card stock,  I used 6 x 6 " cardstock from Pearlywinks.  I found i needed about 2 of their cards which are scored in the middle.  I cut them down to make 4 separate pieces.

- Embossing powders, you can use any colour you wish.  I used white, gold & clear

- Cheryl walls bloom & flight stamp

- Pearlywinks sentiments stamps

- Your chosen matt & layer cardstock.  I used black satin & gold mirrored cardstock

- Embossing ink, versafine black ink, distress ink I used baby pink,  glue, scissors, stamping platform & anything else you may use

Step 1:  Spray 2 pieces of cardstock with your chosen colours

Step 2: Once dry stamp the butterfly stamp in 4 different sections of one of the cardstock at different angles and emboss in white embossing powder

Step 3:  Stamp another butterfly in pink ink (or another colour)  on white or coloured cardstock and clear emboss then cut out.

Step 4:  Stamp again on black cardstock and emboss in gold then cut out the butterfly

Tip:  If you find you can't cut out detailed stamps very well,  leave an outline and fill it in using an alcohol pen in the same colour as the stamp

Step 5: Cut down your spray coloured backgrounds to the correct size so you can matt & layer them with your chosen layers.  I used black and gold mirrored cardstock.

Step 6: Stamp out your chosen sentiment onto same coloured cardstock you're using as a background and emboss in clear embossing powder .  Cut out and matt & layer

Step 7:  Using one of the small element stamps from Pearlywinks sentiments stamps,  stamp in black around the edges of the other background card to create a border

Step 8: You now should have all elements to start making the card. Use foam tape or silicone gel to mount them .  Stick the butterflies over 2 of the white partly stamped ones on the main background and glue sentiment on

Tip: When using foam tape,  spread some glue onto the sticky side to make it easier to centre the card when Matt & layering

I've used 2 different colours on each card here,  pumpkin orange & vintage teal on one & hot pink & pumpkin orange on the other.

Very effective & the inks are so vibrant.   The bloom & flight stamp has to be one of my favourites so far.

Thank you so much for stopping by

Have a lovely day
